Thomas Haddow

Scottish Conservative candidate for Glasgow Pollok

Having been born and raised within the Govan and Ibrox and currently resides in the Ibrox area of the city, Thomas is a local candidate wanting to stand up for Glasgow Pollok.  Having been labour all of his voting days, Thomas became disillusioned with the party and felt that the Conservative party was the only one which was making a difference in politics.  During May of 2015 Thomas joined the Conservative party and got involved with campaigns during the Glasgow council by-elections in August.

Thomas attended Bellahouston Academy before going onto Glasgow Caledonian University where he graduated with a Degree in Social Sciences (Psychology and History).  Thomas currently works as a manager for a large retailer having worked there since his years at University, working his way up to his current position. Within his current role he plays an active part of the stores community initiatives. Within his spare time he volunteers with a local Primary school within his community.  Thomas is a local champion and wants to make a difference in his local community and neighbouring areas as he feels that Labour and the SNP do not stand up for local people whom need a voice for their local area. He is also an advocate of health and Education and believes that  the SNP are out of touch with changes being made in the sector.  Thomas stated “the people of Glasgow Pollok deserve a candidate that will fight for them tirelessly and whom understands local issues.”
