Association Selects Glasgow Candidates

Glasgow Conservatives have selected their candidates to stand for the Scottish Conservatives at the UK Parliament election on 7 May 2015.

At a meeting on 29 January 2015, party members living in Glasgow selected the following to stand as candidates in Glasgow’s seven constituencies:

North - Lauren Hankinson 

North East - Annie Wells

East - Andrew Morrison

South - Kyle Thornton

South West - Cllr Gordon McCaskill

North West - Roger Lewis

Central - Simon Bone

All seven candidates have also been through the Scottish Conservative Party's Candidates' Board process and have been approved.

David Meikle, Conservative councillor in Glasgow, said: “I’m delighted we have selected seven excellent candidates to stand for the Conservatives in Glasgow at the UK Parliament election. I look forward to working with them to promote the achievements of the Conservative government, like the City Deal for Glasgow.”

Patricia Cunningham, chairperson of Glasgow Conservatives said: “I’m very pleased that all our candidates are now in place. We have selected seven really good people from all backgrounds. They are now keen to get out and campaign across the City.”
